New York, NY (SportsNetwork. Marouane Fellaini Jersey .com) - The National Hockey League has denied Patrick Kaletas appeal of his 10-game suspension. Kaleta was issued the ban by NHL senior vice president of player safety Brendan Shanahan nine days ago, for his actions in a game against Columbus on Oct. 10. NHL commissioner Gary Bettman heard Kaletas case at league offices in New York on Monday, and issued a 17-page ruling explaining his actions on Thursday. "I do not credit Mr. Kaletas testimony that he tried ducking out of the check. To the contrary, the video evidence demonstrates that Mr. Kaleta followed through on the check and made no attempt to avoid it," said Bettman in a release Thursday. Kaleta was originally unpenalized for his hit to the head on Blue Jackets defenseman Jack Johnson during the early stages of an eventual 4-1 Columbus victory, but the hit did not escape notice at the league office. "Back-checking through the middle, Kaleta approaches Johnson from the side and finishes a check directly to Johnsons head. Although Johnson is eligible to be checked, Kaleta takes an improper angle, misses Johnsons body and does not make a full check," said Shanahan in his video explanation of the rationale behind the ban. "Its important to note, that no matter who delivered this hit, it would have resulted in supplemental discipline. However, the fact that it was delivered by a player who has been fined or suspended six times in the last four seasons, factors heavily into the severity of the decision." The 26-year-old winger drew a five-game suspension for an early March incident against Brad Richards of the New York Rangers after having been previously suspended multiple games on three prior occasions. "I have concluded, based on my review of the matter that there is clear and convincing evidence to support Mr. Shanahans determination that a 10-game suspension is the appropriate penalty in this case," added Bettman. "My conclusion is based both on the nature of the violation and, even more significantly, on Mr. Kaletas prior disciplinary record." Kaleta will be forced to forfeit $152,439 in salary, which goes into the Players Emergency Assistance Fund. Simon Mignolet Belgium Jersey . -- When the Los Angeles Kings are on top of their formidable defensive game, they revel in the silence they can create in a frustrated road arena. Leander Dendoncker Jersey . It was not to be. In a near-replica of that August 20th matchup at B.C. Place Stadium, Vancouver got off to a lively start before giving up a goal and then fading down the stretch. Portland dominated for long stretches en route to another 3-0 trouncing of the Whitecaps in front of 20,814 at Providence Park. Fanendo Adi scored twice, Diego Valeri added a goal and an assist, and Donovan Ricketts had his fourth shutout as the Whitecaps ceded the fifth and final Western Conference playoff spot to their Pacific Northwest rivals with just five games remaining. "Were chasing them now," said Whitecaps head coach Carl Robinson. "Its a different scenario when youre chasing a team rather than them chasing you." The game started with the visitors creating some good chances in the opening 15 minutes, including a Sebastian Fernandez shot in the games first minute that went just wide of the post. "For the first 20-odd minutes we were excellent but werent able to capitalize on that," said Robinson. "And goals change games, as we all know." Unfortunately for the Whitecaps, it was the Timbers that changed the game to their benefit. Following an end-to-end first twenty minutes, momentum started to shift in Portlands favour, culminating in the opening goal from Valeri at the 28-minute mark. The sequence started with Steven Beitashour getting caught in a two-on-one situation on the right wing. With Beitashour unable to commit, Portlands Jorge Villafana had time and space to neatly pick out Valeri running unmarked through Vancouvers penalty area. "My initial reaction was to go out, but I saw I had guy," said Beitashour. "I didnt want to go out and have them just play in behind, so I sat in and he whipped in a good ball. Great finish." Beitashour, a question to start prior to the match, had words with Mauro Rosales about the defending mixup, but the damage was already done. "The ggoal took the wind out of our sails," said centre back Andy OBrien. Thomas Vermaelen Jersey. Robinson agreed that there was a bit of a drop-off in Vancouvers performance once the home side took the lead. "When we go a goal down, were probably not playing with the same energy, desire or confidence we should," Robinson said. "But weve got to learn, because were not always going to score the first goal." The Timbers put a choke-hold on the remainder of the first half and Vancouver took a one-goal deficit into halftime. The visitors regrouped to start the second half, but a costly mistake in the 66th minute by Matias Laba gave Portland a chance to double the lead, and Adi capitalized on the chance for the first of his two goals on the night. Laba tried to cut the ball back near midfield with his teammates mostly in the attacking third. Valeri took it cleanly off Laba and easily found Adi breaking towards David Ousteds net all alone. "Ninety-nine times out of 100 (Laba) makes that play," said Robinson. "Valeris a good player, hes knicked the ball." Adi put the finishing touches on just four minutes later, slipping a ball between Ousteds legs for the final goal of the game. The additions of Kekuta Manneh, Darren Mattocks and Nicolas Mezquida created a flurry of half-chances in the waning moments of the game, but Portland saw out the match to keep the visitors scoreless for the the sixth time in nine games. Vancouver is winless on the road in that stretch as well. "Its not a fun way to lose," said Ousted. "Its not a fun place to lose, especially with the fan support we had out today. There are five games left and we cant feel sorry for ourselves, we cant get down. We need to continue to work." The Whitecaps face three playoff-bound teams in their remaining five games, starting next Saturday at home against Real Salt lake. Despite the recent form and a tough outlook for upcoming games, Robinson doesnt feel his team is wilting. "People can say whatever they want," he said. "Its a good challenge for us. If we want to play in big games, important games, weve got to cope with this pressure. Theres a little bit of pressure on next week." Cheap Hoodies From China Discount NFL Shirts Cheap NFL Jerseys AuthenticCheap NFL Jerseys China Wholesale China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys From China Cheap Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Fast Shipping China Jerseys Stitched Jerseys ' ' '

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. Cheap Wholesale Nike SB Shoes . -- It wasnt the biggest pass of AJ McCarrons career, but it might have been the most personal. McCarron threw for two touchdowns and became No. 1 Alabamas winningest quarterback in Saturdays 49-0 victory over Chattanooga. His most memorable toss went for 3 measly yards. On his final drive in his last game at Bryant-Denny Stadium, McCarron found his little brother, Corey, early in the third quarter. The crowd might not have gotten excited, but their mom, Dee Dee Bonner, made her feelings known. "I literally could hear her screaming as soon as he caught it over everybody," AJ McCarron said. "I guess the rest of the crowd was, All right, great, 5-yard gain. And she was still yelling. The whole family was probably crying." McCarron completed 13 of 16 passes for 171 yards for the Crimson Tide (11-0). He improved to 36-2 as a starter, breaking a tie with Jay Barker for the school mark. McCarron and Alabama got an easy tuneup for the Iron Bowl against No. 6 Auburn to determine the Southeastern Conference Western Division champion. Both teams are still hoping for national title shots in a state that has claimed the last four BCS championships. The Tide defence produced its third shutout of the year, blocking a field goal against the FCS Mocs (8-4). "For me, it was perfect," linebacker C.J. Mosley said of his final home game. "We came out with a shutout. It cant get any better than that for a defensive player. We talked about this being a momentum game, going into next week and the rest of the season." Kenyan Drake ran for 77 yards and a 13-yard touchdown with starting tailback T.J. Yeldon sitting out to rest a sprained ankle. Freshman Derrick Henry ran six times for 66 yards and scored on a 5-yard touchdown set up by his own 27-yard scamper. Christion Jones scored on a 75-yard punt return in the second quarter for his third return TD of the season. It was atonement for Jones, who fumbled a return after Chattanoogas first series. Alabama outgained the Mocs 435-175 despite turning to the backups for most of the second half. McCarron and the other seniors were honoured in a pregame ceremony. The two-time national champion quarterback threw a 28-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Norwood and a 38-yarder to Amari Cooper. Norwood had four catches for 84 yards -- all in the first half -- also in his home finale, including a 50-yarder. "It was kind of an emotional thing for me, too, at the end of the game, because a lot of those guys have meant a lot to the program," Tide coach Nick Saban said. "We really wanted to go out and play well for those guys." Backup receiver Chris Black took an end around 31 yards for a touchdown and Henry scored on a 5-yarder. Chattanooga started backup quarterback Terrell Robinson with Jacob Huesman nursing a knee injury. Robinson went 8 of 15 for 82 yards with an interception. He also ran 13 times for 37 yards. The Mocs had already clinched a share of the Southern Conference title. Now, theyre hoping for an at-large berth to their first FCS playoffs since 1984 with Samford getting the automatic berth with a 33-32 win over Elon. Chattanooga coach Russ Huesman pointed to Georgia Southerns upset of Florida Saturday as evidence of the leagues strength in his own teams post-season prospects. "Our conference, the Southern Conference, stinks according to everybody out there," Huesman said. "But weve got the fourth-best team in the conference beating Florida. If everybody thinks the Southern Conference stinks, youre nuts." The Mocs had a couple of scoring chances halted. Trey DePriest picked off Robinsons fourth-down pass at the Alabama 17 after Jones early fumble. AShawn Robinson blocked a field goal for the Tide, which has allowed five touchdowns in its last six games. "We lost 49-0, but at the same time we knew what we were up against this week -- the No. 1 team in the nation," Terrell Robinson said. "Theyre blowing a lot of teams out this year. We just wanted to come in and compete today, and I think we did that." Along with Yeldon, tight end Brian Vogler and cornerback Deion Belue sat out the game with injuries. Guard Arie Kouandjio sprained his left ankle during the game but Saban said he could have returned. As for the McCarron-to-McCarron connection, the Tide quarterback had been pushing for the chance for a while. Saban asked offensive co-ordinator Doug Nussmeier to make the call and told AJ McCarron exiting the locker room at halftime that it was coming. "If I had dropped it, he would have yelled at me in front of a lot of people," said Corey McCarron, a transfer who walked on. "That was one of the greatest moments of my life. I would never trade it for anything." Cheap Nike Sb China . On Sunday, head coach Patrick Roy said the teams leading scorer will skate at Mondays morning practice and the club will make a decision on his status for Game 6 at that point.CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte Bobcats coach Steve Clifford said after all of these years in the NBA hes still amazed at some of the things LeBron James does. "You know, hed be fun to watch if you werent coaching the other team," Clifford said. James scored 30 points to help Miami beat Charlotte 97-81 Saturday night for the Heats 13th straight victory against the Bobcats. With Mario Chalmers suspended, Chris Bosh limited due to foul trouble, Ray Allen out with the flu and Dwyane Wade a non-factor, James came up big for the Heat. The four-time MVP was 13 of 18 from the field and had seven assists in his eighth 20-point game this season. "More than anything, it was his energy," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said of James. "When you see him attacking off the glass and pushing coast to coast, you know he feels good with his body and you know it sets a great tone for our team. Hes playing with great energy on both ends of the court." Miami (7-3) relied on its bench to close the game out. Of Miamis 29 points in the fourth quarter, 23 came from reserves Michael Beasley, Chris Anderson, Rashard Lewis and Roger Mason Jr. Beasley finished with 15 points and Anderson had 10 for the Heat, winners of six of their last seven overall. Bosh said it was an odd feeling having so many starters out of the game in the fourth quarter with the outcome still in doubt. "I dont know when the last time that has happened," Bosh said. "But (the reserves) kept the lead at a nice distance. We were rooting for them and encouraging them because we need everybody -- one through 15 -- to not only raise their play but sustain it." James said he had intentions of returning to the game late in the fourth quarter but didnt need to after the Heats reserves began to pull away with the lead. "Once they got going I just said let them keep going," James said. "They had a great rhythm." Kemba Walker had 22 points to lead the Bobcats, who shot 35 per cent from the field. Jeffery Taylor scored 14 points and has now finished in double digits in six of the last seven games. The Bobcats (5-5) had won two straight coming in, and stayeed within 10 points for a good portion of the fourth quarter but could never grab the lead. Mike Piazza Jersey. "Weve got to keep on pushing," Walker said. "I think weve been playing some great basketball right now. Its still early in the season. All we have to do is keep looking forward and keep trying to get better." James had 20 points in the first half on 8-of-11 shooting and Miami led by as many as 16. Only one of James first-half field goals came from outside of 10 feet as he did his damage driving and attacking the basket. Its a good thing for Miami that James was on his game early because the other parts of the big three struggled. Wade only played 23 minutes after his knee tightened up, while Bosh had three fouls and no points in eight first-half minutes. Bosh would later pick up his fifth foul with 4:27 left in the third quarter and drew a technical foul after hed taken a seat on the bench. A few seconds later, Spoelstra began chirping at the officials and he was slapped with a technical, too. But the Heat survived, in part because of their defence. James said thats a good sign. "At the end of the day if we dont defend we arent going to be able to compete where we want to compete," James said. "It was nice to see us play with a lot of energy tonight." Chalmers was serving a one-game suspension after being ejected from the Heats 110-104 victory over Dallas on Friday night. Chalmers was called for flagrant-2 foul with 5:01 remaining in the fourth quarter after referees ruled he intentionally swung an elbow at Dirk Nowitzkis head as he tried to fight through screen. Before Saturday nights game Spoelstra said he "disagreed" with the NBAs decision to suspend Chalmers. "We dont have to agree with it," Spoelstra said. "What we can do is agree to disagree." CLEVELAND - The Phoenix Suns pulled off a memorable comeback. Air Max 90 Cheap Clearance . For the Cleveland Cavaliers, it was a collapse they wont soon forget. The Suns, who looked as though they were about to get run out of the building, rallied from an 18-point halftime deficit by dominating the final two quarters for a 99-90 win Sunday night. "We were getting embarrassed," said Markieff Morris, who led Phoenix with 27 points. "Everybody knew it. Thats why we said if we were going to lose, we were going to go down fighting." Cleveland coach Mike Brown had a simple assessment of his teams meltdown. "It was hard to watch," he said. "Its disappointing we came out and played that way, and we should all feel embarrassed for the way we played in the second half." The Suns held Cleveland to six points in the third quarter and outscored the Cavaliers 56-29 in the second half. Channing Frye finished with 16 points, including four 3-pointers after halftime, and Goran Dragic scored 15 to help Phoenix rally on the first stop of a four-game road trip. "We were so, so bad in the first half, but at least everyone knew how bad we were," said Suns forward P.J. Tucker, who had 13 points and 10 rebounds. "When we were down, everyone was like, Were good. Thats the kind of faith we have in our team, but we cant keep doing this." The Cavaliers, who led by 20 late in the second quarter, fell to 1-3 on a five-game homestand considered crucial to their chances of staying in the Eastern Conference playoff race. "They outworked us in the second half, simply put," said All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving, who led Cleveland with 24 points. Cavaliers centre Anderson Varejao injured his left leg late in the fourth quarter. He was down on the court for several minutes, but remained in the game. Varejao, who has battled injuries the last three seasons, will be checked by the teams medical staff on Monday. "I was worried," Brown said. "His knee was bothering him a little bit. It was tough to see." Phoenix trailed 61-43 at halftime, but hit five 3-pointers in the third quarter. Tucker scored on an offensive rebound with 45 seconds left to put Phoenix ahead 68-67, its first lead since 9-6 just 4 minutes into the game. The Cavaliers were 2 of 22 from the field in the third and set a season low for points in a quarter. Clevelands 29 points after halftime marked a season worst for a half. "I got on their case at halftime because we didnt give effort in the first half," Suns coach Jeff Hornacek said. "It was the defence that did it. We got stops and that started it. Then all of a sudden, the other team was back on their heels." The Suns broke away from a 70-all tie with 11 straight points early in the fourth. Leandro Barbosas free throw put Phoenix ahead for good. Morris scored six points in the run before Barbosas steal and layup made it 81-70 with 8:38 remaining. Irvings two free throws with 2:06 to play cut it to 88-85. The teams traded baskets before Fryes 3-pointer made it 93-87 with 1:14 remaining. Phoenix shot just 39 per cent in the first half, when its starters combined for 24 points. Morris scored 15 off the bench. The Suns came out firing in the third quarter, forcing Cleveland to call timeout twice in the first 5 minutes. Frye hit 3s on three straight possessions, Gerald Green added a 3-pointer and a jumper, and a 3 by Dragic helped cut the lead to 65-61. Phoenix trimmed the lead to two on two occasions. Ish Smiths free throw with 1:13 remaining made it 67-66 before Tucker put the Suns ahead. Cleveland ended the second quarter on a 22-10 run sparked by Luol Dengs 10 points and six by Irving. The Cavaliers led 39-33 with 7:39 remaining in the period when Deng hit two jumpers, a layup and four free throws. He also found Jarrett Jack in the corner for a 3-pointer with a pass from the top of the key. Irving added a pair of jumpers and two foul shots. Irving had 13 points and seven assists in the first half. The third-year guard, elected an All-Star starter for the first time last week, had six assists in the first quarter, including Clevelands first four baskets of the game. Deng had 12 points, six rebounds and four assists in the first half. The Suns opened a road trip in which they will play four games in five nights. Phoenix went 1-4 on a trip earlier this month. NOTES: Suns G Eric Bledsoe (right knee surgery) is travelling with the team, but there remains no timetable for his return to the court. Bledsoe, the teams leading scorer, averaged 18 points in 24 games before undergoing an arthroscopic procedure on Jan. 10. ... Deng had his first double-double for the Cavaliers with 18 points and 10 rebounds. ... Phoenix recalled G Archie Goodwin from his NBA Development League assignment with Bakersfield. ... The victory strengthened Liverpools position in the top four after Tottenham lost 1-0 at Norwich in the days late kickoff, cutting the north London club six points adrift of fourth place and the final Champions League slot for next season.SAN FRANCISCO -- Tim Lincecum is staying put with the San Francisco Giants just as he hoped, reaching agreement Tuesday on a $35 million, two-year contract through the 2015 season. The deal is pending a physical, which had yet to be scheduled. Lincecum has a full no-trade clause in the new deal. General manager Brian Sabean said when the season ended that among his top priorities was bringing back the two-time NL Cy Young Award winner, who also indicated he cherishes familiarity and wanted stay with the only club he has known. He pitched the Game 5 clincher in the 2010 World Series at Texas, then shifted to the bullpen and became a reliable reliever during the Giants 2012 run to their second title in three years. He pitched a no-hitter July 13 at San Diego. Sabean wanted to lock up Lincecums deal before he hit the open market in free agency. The 29-year-old Lincecum just completed a $40.5 million, two-year contract that paid him $22 million this past season. The Giants, who missed the playoffs at 76-86, already took care of their first order of business by signing right fielder Hunter Pence to a $90 million, five-year contract before the season ended. He played every game this year. Lincecum, the 10th overall draft pick by San Francisco in 2006 out of Washington, has had losing records in each of the past three seasons but manager Bruce Bochy has expressed encouragement with the pitchers progress to make changes to not only his delivery and mechanics but also his between-start routine and fitness. After his final start of the season Sept. 26 against the rivall Los Angeles Dodgers, the four-time All-Star reflected on the idea of a possible departure. Air Max 90 Cheap Sale. Many thought he might listen to his hometown Seattle Mariners if they came calling. The Giants didnt let that happen, knowing someone would sign Lincecum in a hurry despite all the ups and downs. "Ive just been one of the most fortunate pitchers in this organization just to be a part of so many things," said Lincecum, who won the Cy Young in 2008 and 09. "To have the guys around me, Barry Bonds, Randy Johnson, big names, Buster Posey coming up, Pablo Sandoval. The names just dont end. To be here to witness all the things theyve done, and be there for also the team things, its been pretty special for me." Lincecum went 10-14 with a 4.37 ERA and 193 strikeouts in 32 starts this season. The right-hander joined Hall of Famers Juan Marichal and Gaylord Perry and also Kirk Rueter as the only Giants in San Francisco history to win at least 10 games in six straight seasons. Nicknamed The Freak, Lincecum is 89-70 with a 3.46 ERA over seven major league seasons. With fans unsure whether he would return beyond 2013, his supporters held signs during his last start such as, "Timmy Dont Leave" and "SF Loves You!" He tipped his cap -- a rare gesture for him. "It was pretty special," Lincecum said at the time. "Just to be in that kind of like situation today, you kind of really see whats going on and the emotions that are tied with it. Im still trying to figure out how to handle it." Cheap Hoodies From China Discount NFL Shirts Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Cheap NFL Jerseys China Wholesale China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys From ChinaCheap Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Fast Shipping China Jerseys Stitched Jerseys ' ' '

Against everyone else, not so much. Zack Greinke threw eight sharp innings, Yasiel Puig and Scott Van Slyke homered and the Dodgers added to their mastery of the Diamondbacks with a 7-0 victory on Friday night. Los Angeles improved to 8-1 against Arizona this season, and the Dodgers are 15-19 against everybody else. "They have outplayed us, outpitched us," Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said. "The guy that beat us tonight has his best stuff going this year." Dodgers manager Don Mattingly downplayed the dominance. "Theres teams you hit well as a player, you pitch good against," he said. "This is one of those teams we played well against this year. Hopefully that continues." Greinke (7-1), in his longest outing of the season, allowed two or fewer runs for the 21st consecutive game, the longest such streak in the majors since at least 1914. Asked how much he thinks about that he said, "not much, actually" "Its not like one of the more important streaks," Greinke said. "Its not a real big deal." He gave up five hits, struck out six, walked two and had an RBI double. "I forgot how fun it is to catch him," said A.J. Ellis, just back from the disabled list. Puig had three hits and drove in two runs. He and Van Slyke hit solo homers off Wade Miley (3-4) as the Diamondbacks fell to 4-16 at Chase Field. Van Slyke does to Miley what the Dodgers do to the Diamondbacks. He is 7 for 16 in his career against the left-hander with four home runs, three this year. Puig, who fell a triple shy of the cycle, extended his career-best hitting streak to 15 games. "Im trying to get hits and put a swing on good pitches," Puig said to reporters in Spanish. "I wasnt worried hitting for the cycle or anything like that." Mattingly said Puig "is getting better all the time and hes getting closer to being that player that has a chance to make a huge impact. Scarpe Air Max 90 Outlet. ." Brian Wilson, who entered the game with a 10.22 ERA, pitched the ninth to complete the shutout. The Diamondbacks have not led in any of their six home games against Los Angeles, two of them in Sydney, Australia, to open the season. Miley gave up four runs and seven hits in six innings, with three walks and three strikeouts. Puig got the Dodgers going with a drive into the right-field seats on a 2-2 pitch from Miley with one out in third. It was his eighth home run of the season. The bottom of the Los Angeles order accounted for two runs in the fourth. Van Slyke led off with a double, then scored on Ellis single. Greinke followed with an RBI double to the gap in left-centre. They were the first RBIs of the season for Ellis and Greinke. Van Slyke hit Mileys first pitch in the sixth high off the batters eye in centre field, far above the 407-foot sign and it was 4-0. Los Angeles got two runs off reliever Randall Delgado in the seventh. Puig singled and scored when Hanley Ramirez doubled. Matt Kemp brought Ramirez home with a fielders choice. The Dodgers added an unearned run in the eighth when shortstop Chris Owings, trying to nab speedy Dee Gordon for a double play, threw the ball 10 rows into the seats above the Los Angeles dugout. Gordon scored from first on Puigs double. In the ninth, umpire Quinn Wolcott ruled that Miguel Montero had beaten out an infield hit but the Dodgers challenged and the call was reversed on review. NOTES: The Dodgers have won 15 of the last 19 games against the Diamondbacks. ... Puig has 33 RBIs. ... Miley has allowed 10 home runs, most of any Arizona starter. ... The Diamondbacks Paul Goldschmidt struck out three times. ... Arizonas 17-year-old minor league pitcher Argeny Hiciano has been suspended for 50 games for testing positive for a banned substance. ... The Dodgers send LHP Clayton Kershaw (2-0, 1.74 ERA) to the mound Saturday, while Arizonas Chase Anderson (1-0, 1.69) makes his second major league start, first at home. Cheap Hoodies From China Discount NFL Shirts Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Cheap NFL Jerseys China Wholesale China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys From China Cheap Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Fast Shipping China Jerseys Stitched Jerseys ' ' '

The grandson of South Africas first black president, Zondwa Mandela, and Robinsons widow, Rachel, helped unveil a plaque commemorating Mandelas 1990 speech at the old Yankee Stadium. It hangs next to the tribute to Jackie Robinson in Monument Park beyond centre field at the current ballpark. Robinson broke the colour barrier in the major leagues in 1947 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. The ceremony was pushed back a day to Wednesday because the game between New York and the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday -- Jackie Robinson Day around baseball -- was postponed by rain. The plaque features a portrait of Mandela and a dedication. "Able to fill the shoes of our grandfather. That is not why we are here. Its simply symbolic to the fact that we all make up a piece of his magnificent work. I and family, just like all of you who are here, are just a custodian of his legacy," Zondwa Mandela said before the ceremony. "The efforts of the Robinson family, the efforts of our grandfather, should continue to give us a sense that the efforts of today are not supposed to reflect on our experience today," he continued, "but rather that they are for the lives to follow, the generations to come." Yankee captain Derek Jeter presented the Mandela family and Rachel Robinson with a replica of the plaque at home plate prior to the game. It reads: "Nelson Mandela 1918-2013. Noobel Peace Prize winner and global leader whose timeless efforts dismantled apartheid in South Africa. Medhi Benatia Jersey. As President of his country, he would use South Africas enthusiasm for sports as a unifying force for reconciliation. On June 21, 1990, he made a memorable visit to the original Yankee Stadium and proclaimed, "You know who I am. I am a Yankee." "In words and deeds, he became an inspirational leader to the world. Dedicated by New York Yankees, April 15, 2014. Presented to Mandela family from New York Yankees." More than a dozen notable figures, including members of the Mandela and Robinson family, South African government representatives, past and present politicians and labour leaders, Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner, and singer and activist Harry Belafonte attended a pregame news conference. Several of those attending were present at the Mandela speech nearly 24 years ago and recalled Mandelas charisma that day. "I knew that he had something in mind when he walked on the stage and was going to be presented to America and all the cameras and the world focused on him," Belafonte said. "And he walked out in a Yankee jacket and a Yankee cap, and his first words were: You all know who I am. I am a Yankee. All of America went crazy." "The other hero, the other great hero, Jackie Robinson, (is) being celebrated at the same time," Belafonte added. "So were getting a double whammy. Jackie Robinson and Nelson Mandela being celebrated on the same day is to me a great moment." Cheap Hoodies From China Discount NFL Shirts Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Cheap NFL Jerseys ChinaWholesale China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys From China Cheap Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Fast Shipping China Jerseys Stitched Jerseys ' ' '

Scott Cullen looks at an epic night of playoff hockey, with Brad Richards, Ryan Miller, Alexander Steen, Nathan MacKinnon, Paul Stastny and Raffi Torres among those to make a difference in the first games of their respective playoff series. Cheap Puma Shoes China . OPENING NIGHT ON BROADWAY Though the score was tied at one into the third period, the first game of the Philadelphia Flyers-New York Rangers series was a dominant performance by the Rangers, who outshot the Flyers 35-16 (53-37 in 5-on-5 shot attempts). The game was broken open when the Rangers scored a pair of power play goals, 47 second apart, on double-minor to Jason Akeson for high-sticking Rangers LW Carl Hagelin. Akeson, 23, was undrafted out of Kitchener in the Ontario Hockey League and has been toiling in the AHL for three seasons, tallying 172 points in 208 games over three seasons, putting up two points in two regular season games against the Flyers. Akeson happened to be only Flyers player with better than 50% Corsi for the game. One of the stories of this series is that it pits three legendary members of the Tampa Bay Lightning against one another. Rangers C Brad Richards was the big scorer on the night with a goal and two assists, while RW Martin St. Louis contributed a pair of assists. By contrast, Flyers C Vincent Lecavalier played 7:42, the lowest total for any skater in the game. The only other game this season in which Lecavalier played under 10 minutes was an early March contest against Washington in which he was ejected as part of a line brawl after playing just 3:22. The territorial domination by the Rangers told the tale of this game, as Flyers first liners Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek didnt register a shot on goal; credit for that ought to go to the Rangers defence pairing of Ryan McDonagh and Dan Girardi, who got that matchup assignment. By contrast, Rick Nash led the Rangers with seven shots on goal and was one of four Rangers with better than 70% Corsi during the game. The others were fourth-liners Brian Boyle and Derek Dorsett, as well as defenceman Anton Stralman. Stralman doesnt get a lot of pub, but hes ranked among Top 10 defencemen (minimum 500 minutes) in Corsi percentage in each of the past two seasons. Nash, along with linemates Richards and St. Louis, were matched up most often against Philadelphias top line of Giroux, Voracek and Scott Hartnell, along with the defence pairing of Mark Streit and Niklas Grossman. Ray Emery was in net for Flyers, and didnt play poorly, stopping 32 of 36 shots, but could be replaced by Steve Mason in Game Two. The goaltending may change, but thats not the issue that should be most pressing to the Flyers. They need to play with more discipline and control the puck more if theyre going to put some pressure on the Rangers. BLACK AND BLUE In a Triple-OT epic, the Blues and Blackhawks waged war in a brutal, physical game that could have lasting effects in the series. Blackhawks C Jonathan Toews, coming back from a shoulder injury, and Blues D Jay Bouwmeester, who reportedly was suffering from dehydration, both missed time during the game. Alexander Steen scored the winner, 26 seconds into the third overtime period, finishing a nifty short drop pass from Steve Ott, after David Backes beat a confused Blackhawks defence (Johnny Oduya and Niklas Hjalmarsson) to a puck behind the Chicago net. Blackhawks LW Patrick Sharp launced 11 shots, with six on goal, including a breakaway in double overtime that was stopped by Blues G Ryan Miller. Miller got off to a rough start, allowing three goals on seven shots in the first period, but Miller shut the door after that, turning aside 35 shots over the next five-plus periods. Looking for an unsung hero for the Blues in this one? How about C Maxim Lapierre, who had the best possession numbers on the team despite starting the Blues highest percentage of his shifts in the defensive zone. The Blackhawks have tended to use their fourth line -- Brandon Bollig, Marcus Kruger and Ben Smith -- for defensive zone face-offs, but their usage was really tilted in this game, taking one of their 18 faceoffs in the offensive zone. This was a serious hockey game, hard-hitting and whichever team ended up losing in triple overtime would have every right to be disappointed. Considering the Blues were such a banged-up team late in the season, and didnt have RW T.J. Oshie and C Patrik Berglund for Game One, that Game One win has to bring some measure of relief, for now, because it starts up again Saturday afternoon. ROCKY MOUNTAIN WAY Trailing 4-2 into the third period, the Colorado Avalanche mounted a rally, as Paul Stastny scored with 14 seconds left in regulation to tie, before Stastny scored again 7:27 into overtime to give Colorado a 1-0 lead in the series. Both the tying and winning goals were set up by Avalanche rookie Nathan MacKinnon, who had three assists for the game. Since December 29, MacKinnon finished the regular season with 42 points in his last 45 games and hes been a crucial part of Colorados offence. While he spent more time with PA Parenteau and Ryan OReilly in Game One, but joined Stastny later in the third period as the Avs were pressing to tie the game. MacKinon also paced the Avalanche forwards in puck possession stats. With Colorado having little faith in their fourth line of Patrick Bordeleau, Paul Carey and Brad Malone -- the trio combined for just over nine minutes of ice time (three minutes per) -- so Colorados top forwards played a lot. Stastny (2 G, 1 A), OReilly (1 G, 1 A) and captain Gabriel Landeskog each played more than 25 minutes. If Colorado doesnt trust their fourth line, the workload could get heavy on those top forwards if the series goes long. Avalanche LW Jamie McGinn, with a goal and an assist, and D Tyson Barrie, with two assists, were other Avs with multi-point efforts. Though he didnt get on the scoresheet, Wild RW Jason Pominville sent 10 shots towards the Colorado net, with six making it through to Avalanche G Semyon Varlamov, who stopped 29 of 33 shots he faced; not great, but better than Ilya Bryzgalov, who stopped 26 of 31. Game One did nothing to disprove the notion that the Avalanche are vulnerable, but the Avalanche have defied statistical odds this season and did it once again in Game One of the series. Their goaltender pulled with three minutes remaining, with the win probability for the Wild nearing 98%, the Avalanche needed D Erik Johnson to sweep away a long Wild shot that was trickling towards the empty cage with a minute and a half left, and that allowed the Avalanche to mount their last charge for the tying goal. SHARK NIGHT The San Jose Sharks raced out to a 5-0 lead in the first two periods, allowed the Kings to make it remotely interesting in the third, before walking away with a 6-3 win in Game One. While the Sharks had the better of play in the first period, it wasnt until they scored a pair of goals in the final minute of the period to take a 3-0 lead, that they really pushed the Kings on their heels. Four Sharks had multi-point games. RW Brent Burns scored in the empty net to finish with a goal and an assist; LW Tomas Hertl, in his third game since December 19, had a goal and an assist; C James Sheppard, despite having a rough night in the possession game, added a couple of assists; D Marc-Edouard Vlasic had a goal and an assist as well, the first time since November, 2011 that he had at least a goal and an assist in the same game. LW Raffi Torres, who played only five games during the regular season, played 8:42 for the Sharks, the lowest for all San Jose skaters, yet he scored a goal and led the Sharks with seven hits. Torres wasnt the games big hitter, though. That was Kings C Anze Kopitar, who had nine hits, all while registering six shots on goal and owning the best possession stats for the Kings, with a 66.7% Corsi%. Keep an eye on the Sharks usage. They enlisted the line of Joe Pavelski, Joe Thornton and Brent Burns to do the heavy lifting, taking one of 16 face-offs in the offensive zone. They spent most of their night matched against Jeff Carter, Mike Richards and Dwight King, while the Sharks put Patrick Marleau, Logan Couture and Matt Nieto up against Kopitar, Marian Gaborik and Justin Williams. Though the Kings mounted something of a rally in the third period, after pulling starting goaltender Jonathan Quick in favour of backup Martin Jones, scoring three times in the first 14 minutes of the period, they couldnt complete the miracle comeback and the Sharks ended up with what was a relatively easy win. Given the quality of these two teams, there shouldnt be too many easy wins in the series. Two members of the Toronto Argonauts are happy their recent off-field exploits werent under the same scrutiny. Kicker Swayze Waters and rookie long snapper Jake Reinhart took advantage of the recent bye week to explore the great outdoors. The trip was a resounding success, but at the same time it was almost worthy of the film Planes, Trains and Automobiles. On the surface it may seem like a curious pairing. Waters, a 27-year old from Jackson, Mississippi, is in his third season in the league, with a trio of NFL camps under his belt. Hes a household name among CFL fans. Reinhart, 24, was born and raised in Guelph, Ontario, about 100 KM west of downtown Toronto. He finished his CIS career with his hometown Gryphons last year. Toiling in the relative obscurity of being a long snapper, hes a virtual unknown to even the most die-hard fans. The two first met a year ago when Reinhart, an undrafted free agent, attended Argo training camp before heading back for his final season with the Gryphons. The friendship blossomed this year when Reinhart made the double blue, replacing long-time long snapper Chad Rempel, who left the team to try out for the Chicago Bears of the NFL. The two became roommates on the road and coupled with the inordinate amount of time the duo spends together at practice, their friendship developed. The pair took advantage of the teams recent bye week by traveling to scenic Algonquin Park for a camping trip, borrowing a canoe from Reinharts brother. Algonquin Park is a paradise for those who love the outdoors. Established in 1893, Ontarios first provincial park covers 7,630 square KM, the southern border of which is about three hours north of Toronto. People travel from around the world to experience the parks lakes, rivers and wildlife.  The Mississippi native, an outdoorsman at heart, had recently read a book entitled Wild At Heart by John Eldredge, which the deeply religious Waters said was inspirational on more than one level. "Its a biblical perspective on how God made men," confided Waters. "And how we all have this thing inside of us that loves the unknown and adventure. After I read it I was just really fired up." "Im an outdoors guy anyways," continued the kicker, "And I knew we had this off week coming up. I had heard some people talk about Algonquin and how beautiful it was up there." With Algonquin Parks thousands of interconnected lakes and streams, weeks or even months of preparation can be used to best plot out which waterways, campsites and portage routes should be taken to maximize the experience. How much time did the special teams twosome take to intricately plan this exploration of the wilds? "After the Hamilton game I told Jake Hey, lets go to Algonquin tomorrow," said Waters. "It was just one of those deals." "That was all Swayzes idea," laughed Reinhart, "But as soon as he said it I was right on board." The pair decided shortly after the conclusion of the game in Hamilton that the time was right to load up the Reinharts mothers minivan and head north. After the decision was confirmed at 10pm Monday night, they were on the road at 9am the next morning. The intentions were good. The execution lefft a lot to be desired. Puma Shoes Discount Sale Online. . Certain questions were yet to be answered, including "Exactly where was Algonquin Park?" "We knew it was north," chuckled Waters. "We knew we had to take (highway) 400 to get there and thats about it," confessed Reinhart. So without maps, a plan, or anything other than a vague idea of how to get there, the dynamic duo headed toward their ultimate destination. They ended up in the town of Huntsville, where they received advice from some of the locals, then proceeded to hit the local department store to stock up for the excursion. It was there that they bought a camping grill, or so they believed. "We thought we had purchased the grill set," admitted Reinhart, "but it was really just pots and pans because we just looked on the package and there was a picture of a grill." Oops. So then it was off the check in at the park and get a permit. They finally caught a bit of a break. "We showed up at the gate at about 4:50 and they closed at 5:00," admitted Waters. "So I think they knew we didnt have a plan. They were laughing at us." Undaunted, the Argos version of Lewis and Clark proceeded. While portaging over steep, sometimes rocky, sometimes muddy terrain wasnt particularly enjoyable, the canoeing through the pristine waters and undisturbed wilderness more than made up for it. That said, the two didnt quite have the chemistry in the canoe that they enjoy on the field. "We definitely didnt go in a straight line," deadpanned Waters, "It took us a while to figure out our rhythm, but for the first half we were zigzagging our way through the lakes and the rivers." As the crow flies they canoed 52 KM and portaged another six, but the directionally challenged adventurers ended up paddling much, much further than that. Despite taking the scenic route - both literally and figuratively - the pair didnt spot any moose or bears. The did however come in contact with one form of wildlife that was very happy to see them. Mice, and lots of them. "The first night we showed up real late, it was really dark," said Waters. "We didnt really get to our camp until it was completely dark. We unloaded all of our stuff out of the canoe, I got the GoPro out and we were videotaping our site." "Im looking at the food bag and theres a mouse running up the side of it," continued Waters. "I kicked it and then another one jumped out of the inside of the bag. We had literally been there for two minutes." If Waters connected with the rodent the way he did with the football the day before, the mouse may not have come down yet. It didnt deter the pests though, as they tormented them throughout the night. The trip continued with hellacious portages, unplanned trips through swamps and of course the lack of a grill. At one time they thought their journey was going to be a disaster, but they persevered and would jump at the chance to do it all over again. "Id do it again for sure, said a smiling Reinhart. "Next time wed be more prepared. Wed go in with a better plan." The pair has an off-day in Calgary on Sunday following Saturdays game with the Stampeders. Theyre toying with the idea of canoeing down the Bow River. Lets hope they bring a map. Cheap Hoodies From China Discount NFL Shirts Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Cheap NFL Jerseys China Wholesale China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys From China Cheap Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Fast Shipping China Jerseys Stitched Jerseys ' ' '

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Welcome to the Big Ten, Terps. Discount Salomon Shoes . LaQuinton Ross scored 17 of his 20 points in the first half, hitting his first four 3-pointers, to send No. 5 Ohio State to an early lead and a 76-60 victory over Maryland on Wednesday night in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. It was Marylands last appearance in the annual conference matchup -- well, at least as an Atlantic Coast Conference team. Next year, the Terrapins join the Buckeyes in the new 14-team Big Ten. "We didnt talk about it being our last one," coach Mark Turgeon said. "We just talked about Ohio State and obviously we didnt do a good job playing against them. So give them credit." Sam Thompson added 14 points, including four rim-rattling dunks off alley-oop passes, and Lenzelle Smith Jr. had 12. Aaron Craft created havoc on defence and chipped in with 10 points as the Buckeyes (7-0) controlled the game at both ends. "Basketball is basketball," said ex-Xavier guard Dez Wells, who led Maryland with 19 points. "I dont care what conference youre in. That doesnt matter to me." Ohio State blitzed the Terrapins (5-3) on defence -- scoring 25 points off 14 turnovers. The Buckeyes also shot 60 per cent on 3-pointers in the opening half and 52 per cent from the field for the game. The lead never dropped below double digits over the last 24 minutes, and the Buckeyes eased up after going up by 25 points in the second half. Ohio State had struggled shooting in its first four games. But the Buckeyes lit it up for 69 per cent from the field -- the sixth-best mark in school history -- during a 99-64 rout of North Florida on Saturday. "We shot the ball well last game and we wanted to build off it," said Craft, who finished with five steals and six assists. "We just wanted to come out and not have a slow start, come out with our minds right. We were able to do that. Obviously, LaQuinton helped out a lot coming in and knocking down those early shots. And that kind of relaxes everybody else and gets them going." The Buckeyes led 43-26 at halftime and never really let the game leave their grasp. Ross was the difference early, making those first four shots from behind the arc. After Maryland became more aware of him on the perimeter, Thompson scored on two high-flying, alley-oop dunks that shook the arena. Behind Ross 12 points, the Buckeyes broke out to an 18-9 lead. The Terrapins regrouped to trade baskets and pull to 27-20 before Thompson had five points and Ross the other three in an 8-0 run. Leading 35-26, Ohio State went on another 8-0 run. On the Terps final possession of the half, Craft dived on the floor and stole the ball in a scrum, then passed it out while on the floor. Thompson got the ball, spun in the lane on a breakaway and then banked in a layup just as the buzzer sounded. "We took the timeout," Ohio State coach Thad Matta said. "We said, Hey, theyre going to take one shot, we can get a little risky here in terms of pushing up our pressure. For him to get down on the floor and flick it up like that, it was just a tremendous play." Maryland made a mini-run in the second half, but Thompson ended that by going high over the rim to stuff in back-to-back passes, one from Shannon Scott and the other from Craft. "Shannon and Craft are so good at forcing steals and getting us out in transition," Thompson said. "They draw so much attention in the open floor that I just do the easy part and I finish. Theyve always put the ball right on the money. All I have to do is just dunk it home." Former Michigan swingman Evan Smotrycz scored 15 points and Charles Mitchell added 12 points and 11 rebounds for Maryland, which had won four in a row after losing two of its first three. Cheap Salomon Shoes Free Shipping . -- On any given day here at his companys Silicon Valley headquarters, Vivek Ranadive is ready to compete against any employee who wants to challenge him to any contest. Cheap Salomon Shoes . He made big saves at the right time as well; huge saves on Clifford and Gaborik with the score tied 1-1, kept the Blackhawks in the game. He didnt have much of a chance on the three goals against; the first goal was a screen/ tip, second was a tip that skipped up and went top shelf, and the third was a three-on-one that Toews makes a great shot backdoor. He fought a lot of traffic all game long as Bickell set up shop in his crease and the Blackhawks drove the net hard every chance they had. He did a very good job stopping shots by Kane, Oduya and Hossa shots with traffic in front of the net. It was evident the Blackhawks game plan was to get traffic in front of him and make his life miserable. Cheap Hoodies From China Discount NFL Shirts Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Cheap NFL Jerseys China Wholesale China Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys From China Cheap Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Fast Shipping China Jerseys Stitched Jerseys ' ' '

Matches between third-seeded French Open runner-up Simona Halep, of Romania, and Ukrainian Lesia Tsurenko and American Victoria Duval and Swiss Belinda Bencic were postponed because of rain. The third round will commence Friday, as second seed Li Na, fourth seed Agnieszka Radwanska and a sixth-seeded Kvitova will take to the courts. The Australian Open champion Li will meet Czech Barbora Zahlavova Strycova, while the 2012 Wimbledon runner-up Radwanska will take on Portuguese Michelle Larcher de Brito and the 2011 titlist Kvitova will battle 30th-seeded five- time Wimbledon champ Venus Williams. Also slated for action are 10th-seeded Aussie Open runner-up Dominika Cibulkova and 16th-seeded former world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki. Randy Moss Vikings Jersey . Its the second time this season that Milan has been sanctioned by the league judge, after fans also subjected Napoli supporters to discriminatory chants. The ban will come into effect for Milans next match, against Udinese on Oct. Mike Hughes Jersey . Poti played in 824 regular NHL games with four teams in his career; the Edmonton Oilers, New York Rangers, New York Islanders and the Washington Capitals. LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers manager Don Mattingly got on the plane after Josh Becketts no-hitter in Philadelphia and teased next-day starter Hyun-Jin Ryu. "You have to throw a perfect game to top Beckett," Mattingly told the South Korean left-hander. Ryu nearly did. He retired his first 21 batters before Todd Fraziers leadoff double in the eighth inning, and Los Angeles held on to beat the Cincinnati Reds 4-3 Monday. "For a minute there, I thought, Whew, he might do it," Mattingly said. The Reds hit only three balls out of the infield before Frazier doubled down the left-field line on an 0-1 pitch. That followed a three-run seventh by the Dodgers in which Ryu ran the bases and scored. Ryu came close to making the Dodgers the first team in major league history with consecutive no-hitters. Beckett won 6-0 on Sunday. "Of course it was in the back of my mind," Ryu said through a translator, explaining that he had never carried a no-hit bid that deep. "It wasnt until the seventh that I thought it could happen." Los Angeles pitchers tossed a club-record 17 straight hitless innings dating to Saturday, when Paul Maholm got it started against the Phillies. The only other team since 1974 to have a no-hitter through seven innings in back-to-back games was the Oakland Athletics on July 14-15, 2005, against Texas, according to STATS. "It gives us confidence as a ballclub that what weve been built for is to pitch," Mattingly said. "It tells me we can get on a roll." The only other club since 1974 to pitch 17 straight hitless innings was the Los Angeles Angels from May 1-3, 2012, including Jered Weavers no-hitter, STATS said. "I was more nervous tonight," Mattingly said. "Its a one-run game and one swing can change the whole game. It was fun to watch until the eighth." Cincinnati scored three times in the eighth, but right fielder Yasiel Puig made a key defensive play when he cut off Billy Hamiltons two-run double in the gap. The relay home held Skip Schumaker at third, and Kenley Jansen struck out Brandon Phillips with the bases loaded to preserve a 4-3 lead. Jansen also worked the ninth, retiring Devin Mesoraco with two on for his 15th save. Johnny Cueto (4-4) allowed four hits and four runs -- one earned -- in 6 1-3 innings. Ryu (5-2) was charged with three runs and three hits in 7 1-3 innings, improving to 6-0 in six starts against the Reds. He struck out seven and walked none while winning for the first time at Dodger Stadium this season. He was 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA in three previous home starts. "He was great through seven," said backup catcher Drew Butera, who also caught Becketts game. "When guys see a pitcher a third time theyre a little more confident. He still made some good pitches; they just foound some holes. Brian ONeill Vikings Jersey. " Ryu got help from third baseman Justin Turner, who was playing for injured Juan Uribe. Turner made two diving stops in the hole against Zack Cozart his first two times up and threw him out both times. "It was a huge part," Ryu said. "He motivated me to focus more and try a little harder." Reds manager Bryan Price singled out Turner as a standout. "His 16-pitch at-bat really took a lot of the starch out of Johnny in the seventh and led to their big inning," Price said. Ryu left to a standing ovation not long after Frazier spoiled his bid for the first perfect game in the majors since Felix Hernandez accomplished the feat for Seattle against Tampa Bay on Aug. 15, 2012. Ryan Ludwick followed with a single, moving Frazier to third. He scored on Chris Heiseys sacrifice fly that left the Reds trailing 4-1. Brayan Pena singled, bringing Mattingly to the mound to remove Ryu. "He was throwing every pitch in any count and just kept us off balance really well," Heisey said. "He wasnt leaving anything over the middle of the plate. It was almost like he was setting up his fastball with his changeup and his curveball. He did a great job of mixing it up and not giving in." The Reds continued the rally after Brian Wilson replaced Ryu. Wilson gave up Hamiltons two-run double and walked Cozart before he was yanked and angrily slammed his glove twice against the dugout wall. Wilson paced back and forth several times, then began clapping as Jansen was introduced. Ryu faced a Reds lineup in which only one batter began the day batting over .264. That was Phillips, who came in hitting .281. The Reds played without slugger Joey Votto, who went on the disabled list Sunday with a strained left knee, and right fielder Jay Bruce, who came off the DL last Friday after left knee surgery. The Dodgers had a long inning in the seventh, which started with Turners 16-pitch walk. Ryu was later credited with his first RBI of the season. Cozart charged Ryus slow bouncer to shortstop with the infield playing in, hoping for a play at the plate. Instead, Cozart bobbled the ball and all the runners were safe. Turner scored to give the Dodgers a 2-0 lead. They extended it to 4-0 on Carl Crawfords two-run double that scored Ryu and Dee Gordon. Los Angeles led 1-0 in the third on a two-out fielding error by Frazier, who was making his second start at first base this season because of Vottos absence. NOTES: Sandy Koufax remains the only Dodgers pitcher with a perfect game, a 1-0 win over the Chicago Cubs at home on Sept. 9, 1965. ... Hall of Fame announcer Vin Scully missed the game because of a chest cold that was expected to keep him out of the booth Tuesday as well. ...
